How we help with family needs
- Children's maintenance and education costs: Assistance with costs relating to education including extra-curricular activities, clothing grants, IT and course equipment, travel allowances, educational school trips and specialist tuition.
- Care homes and sheltered accommodation: A range of accommodation to meet the care needs of the individual, whilst promoting independence and dignity.
- Respite care: Grants are available to support carers. Funding is available towards the costs of short periods of residential care or to provide regular short breaks at home.
- Care advice: Advice on all aspects of the services offered by the Masonic charities and by statutory and voluntary agencies.
- Support for children with talent in music, sports or the performing arts: Financial support to help with the costs associated with developing a child's exceptional talent.
- Student accommodation: Residential accommodation in London to enable young people to take advantage of the learning, training and work opportunities in the capital.
- Counselling, therapy and advice for children: Advisers have a wide range of knowledge and can assist families in finding appropriate sources for counselling, therapy and issues relating to education.
- Holidays for older people: Fully financed and part-funded trips to locations within the UK and Malta.

All applicants for family support must have a Masonic connection and be experiencing a genuine family need.
What are the eligibility criteria for family support?
If you require certain types of family support then the decision to help may depend on what income and savings you have. The rules used to make decisions are different depending on the support requested and are reviewed on a regular basis. It is not possible to provide full details on this website.
